I've got these fitted to my car but the shells are very pitted/rusty (rust keeps coming back despite rubbing with aluminium foil/rubbing with Autosol). I would like to get some replacements but haven't found any in the UK... unless someone knows where I could get them? Fitting is by 2 screws spaced 85mm apart, so I am not interested in the ones which clamp onto the door edge.

Here are some pics of mine, ones I have found which I think are the same but in Italy, and some from Motobambino which have the right fixing plate but are a flat(ish) body).

Any ideas, guys/gals?

Ok, any ideas where/how much to get it done?

I've used these before and they are in Borough Green! Down the road from you.

Price wise, call them, send them a picture, I'm sure they'll give an estimate

chrome ... cheap??
Modern Chrome will start rusting before your eyes....
old fashioned chrome is still available via places with the appropriate licensees and it isn't cheap....
I was quoted £400 to have two light rims re-chromed....

Crazy money . . .
A more secure way of fitting these mirrors is to use "Riv-nuts" and stainless machine screws. The rubber inserts and 'self-tapping' screws that are supplied with the mirrors do not make for a very secure fitment.
