i got my mark 2b punto from them last july they had told me it had a new cambelt fitted, after so long i noticed that it was squeeling with the engine revs i sent the car into 5 times for this and they told me there was nothing wrong with it.. now recently i sent the car in for a check up, they told me that they had changed the cambelt and and bearing..

now thats the problem they told me didnt exist when i sent the car in under warrenty.. all parts done under warrenty have a 12 month gaurentee, and what did i receieve the other day but a bill for a cambelt and cambelt tensioner...

so i rang them up to query the bill and got an absolute **** of a mechanic who basicly didnt give a toss..

with all due respect.. what warrenty...
the cambelt was done on the car while the warrenty was valid... all parts carry a 12 month gaurentee.. don't they??

but there isnt any warrenty on your car.. no the cambelt was done by yourselves... i also sent the car in 5 times for the problem that you told me didnt exist before...
well you need to speak to john marson.. but i think HE should make you pay it

i don't give a **** what you think... im not ****ing paying it...

now i have had issues with this mechanic in the past also.. should i put in a formal complaint against him aswell because he has taken a bad attitude with me on several occaions...

and should i send this matter to FIATUK??

Just to put you straight, a part does not have a 12 month warranty if, as you said it was changed under warranty. It only has the remaining time of the original part under warranty. If you make a contribution to the costs, then this makes it a full warranty and you receive another 12 months warranty on that item.

well they slipped up on that one and said i did , im not paying it its simple as...
