Hi, my passenger door handle has broken, picture attached. :bang:

Has anyone changed one themselves? How easy is it please? I've seen handles on Ebay pretty cheap.

Thanks

You only need the hinge mine's broke too there's a guide in the guides section you do need to remove the door card but looks straightforward typically when I started it threw down with rain so I didn't get anywhere bar two bits of door trim off. Hinge about £7 on ebay
For the time being treat it very gently and it's a simple fox be rough and the whole thing will come off making a "simple" job harder.

Agreed, you just need the hinge - eBay your friend for that part. The actual job is OK, thought the door card has to come off, probably an hour or so.

20 minute job. Maybe half an hour if you’ve never done it before. Door card off, remove the 20mm nut then get to the screw through the hole in the door where you just took the nut off. Much easier. You don’t need to take the handle off. Easier to move it around if you remove the screws in the side of the door that hold the lock and handle.

When i changed a drivers side handle hinge on ours, the metal pin looked to have seized which caused the cast part to fatigue and crack. Might be a good idea to lubricate the pin on the new hinge before fitting.

I've just done ours using the guide https://www.fiatforum.com/500-guides/316198-broken-door-handle-articulator-hinge-repair.html

I would add to the guide if not already there
Once the old hinge is removed, both parts, you can install the new one in the "opened out " state, I used the old screw and old plastic bushing, this way you can tighten the hinge screw through the hole in the door, I found a flat blade screwdriver easier for the cross head, there's just enough space to swing the hinge to the closed position(make sure you protected the door with tape) now bolt up.

Rather than un-clip the internal door handle from the wire I simply unscrewed it(the whole handle assembly)
