That seems ok, i take it your going to wire the 6x9s and the sub through the amp and the alpines through the headunit?

Does the amp let u adjust 2-channels at a time, or only all 4-channels? If it only lets u adjust all four channels, the sub and the amp will have be having the same input from the amp.

I was planning on Connecting the Alpine components to the head unit and the 6x9's and the amp to the sub but someone said that it would be wiser to connect the front components to the amp and bridge the other two channels and connect the amp

Running the front components and the sub off the amp would give a more balanced sound as you dont really want the 6x9s to be that loud as it would move the soundstage to the back.

The only problem i can see with running the front components and the sub off the amp is that you would have to be able to control the sound going to the sub and the components separately, and that amp may not have that capability. Otherwise the front components will be getting too much power.

I have to say that if you often have a car full of mates who are likely to complain about the lack of sound in the rear fit some more components in the sides rather than butcher your parcel shelf with some low quality sound from 6x9's. If you try to fit a sub in the boot and 6x9's on the shelf they will be fighting each other and the sound will be awful. Buy a 4/3/2 channel amp, use the money saved on 6x9's to buy good front comps and drive those and the sub from the amp in the boot. Don't use the HU amp at all - it sucks! You can bridge the sub channel too. I did this and the sound in the front is perfectly full and clear.

Can u not get a seperate unit to control this?
Sorry can't remember what they're called but i'm sure i've seen them?

You could buy an equaliser to control the sound but you might as well get an amp with the facility built in.

Personally i wouldnt be bothered if the people in the back thought the sound wasnt right, its the sound in the drivers seat that you want to be bothered about.
