Hi All,

Not been here in a while, just bought a 1997 Bravo 1.8GT here in Ireland. Car has only 44k miles on it from new (verified) !! :)

Just want to check with the people in the know is there anything I should watch out for/keep an eye on?

Timing belt was done at 35k miles, I replaced Thermostat , aerial and sunroof seal so far.

That's a really nice car, if I was looking for a car myself I'd have bought that one up ;)

Adrain is the man to ask he has a 1.8HLX. There should be a thread of his in members motors... Its black (y)

I heard something about gearboxes in these and Alfa 147s being the same.

I've never had a 1.8 so I can't offer any advice :(

I would recommend taking off the back bumper, arch liners and black trim infront of the rear wheel to clean out, they love collecting dirt  check for play in the rear arms, sitting up for ages does them no good.

Apart from that all should be good, keep us updated! (y)

Thanks, been all around underneath already and everything is good under there, no squeeks or rattles either , tracking was out though, now sorted too.

And also door handles on the way too.
