brave constantly powers off

hi,

i've got a problem where my brava [1.8 elx] powers off and comes back again.
power off here means when i am driving it goes back to pre-start when u place in the key.
this happens most of the time when i hit the brakes, even gently....i hear a click and then its all dead.

any one have an idea on what exactly is wrong ?
