Ive just brought a Brava 115elx on a w plate, the problem ive got is the remote central locking, when i press the key the alarm disables and the doors unlock and all is well, but when i go to lock it the button does not work and when i use the key, all the doors lock then unlock again, which means i have to lock each door by hand lol.
can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this little problem.

many thanks

Jas

Sounds like one of the door is reporting its not closed OK. To check the part for that, you need to remove the door cards and check the connections on the locks in the doors and also the switches on them.

Ive had the door cards out today and sprayed wd40 on the locks ete but still no joy.
If i take the locks out tomorow can anyone tell me how to test them and waht im looking for as i dont wanna take them out if i dont know what im looking for.....

thanks

There should be 2 wires coming from the lock, they give the signal if the door is closed or not. In the lock itself there is a small switch that sends the signal -its stuck or broken.

Thanks
Is there a way i can test them without taking the locks out? so i know which lock i have to take out.
Thanks for the help.

Per diagram there should be 3 wires that control the locking signal. Black-earth; Light blue-unlocked signal; White-locked signal, or other way around. Put a multimeter on them and lock/unlock the car, you should measure a current when doing unlock/ lock procedure.
Also it wont hurt to unplug-plug in all of the white connectors that are under the drivers (right) fuse panel. They ain't going to the fuse plate, but hang alone around it.

Thanks Sven
I will have a go at taking each door apart lol was hoping i could narrow it down to just one door first but no luck.
Is the locking just located to the doors or are there sensors in the bonnet and boot as well.

Thanks for the help with any luck i should have this niggley little problem sorted soon :)
