brava jtd sluggish

hi all,

Wonder if anyone can give me any ideas why my jtd might not be revving freely?
it doesnt seem to pull as well as it did seems struggle to get past 4k when accelarating?
i keep it reguarly serviced and do not have any waring lights on the dash
Any ideas anyone?

hi,

Thanks for your replies, i was thinking the same thing that the maf could be on its way out really annoying though it is just over a year old ,it had a new one on just before i bought the car.
@ scotty the light was perfect many thanks.
got any mafs kicking about??

one thing i have just thought of could it be a blocked air filter. the reason i say that is when i changed it last time it was p**s wet through, sod will go and have a look.

right have had a look so me thinks it is the maf is it worth going back to fiat to see if they can do anything about it ie it is just over a year old and cost about £130 how long should they last?? i am thinking alot longer than 12 months

they should last longer, but if its been a cheap imitation like the ones on ebay, then its not surprising its busted.

well now heres the thing it is a genuine bosch/fiat part fitted by a fiat dealership, i have just been looking on the invoice and it was fitted the the 8th of november 2006 although it says that it is a reconditioned one.

hi again,

There has always been confusion as tp what my jts is on the v5 it says 105 jtd yet when i have got insurance quotes online etc it always says 100 jtd , how do i actually tell what it is?

If it say's 105 on the V5 thats what it will be.
Heres a pic of mine,notice the EGR at the front,im sure its at the back on the 100.

i may be wrong on that,someone on here will know for sure.

Just a quick warning the CF2 / CF3 Alfa 2.4 JTD MAF's are different. If you have a CF2 MAF it wont be the best for a 100JTD CF3. If you have a CF3 MAF it wont be the best for a CF2 105JTD. If you have a CF2 2.4 JTD MAF for a 105JTD then it will be spot on.

2.4 136 BHP MAF = 105JTD 1.9
2.4 140/150 MAF = 100JTD 1.9
Clear now...
Oh and 1.6, 1.8, 2.0 TS CF2 MAF = 136 MAF = 1.9 105JTD
or..... I have them in stock as we carry them on the vans.. original ones, £100 but you wont get it wrong lol as we dont **** about with fake / reconditioned as it justs wastes our time.

Yep thats correct Nige. The one i have is for the Bravo CF3 100JTD or Alfa 156 2.4JTD CF3 150BHP variant. But if yours is the older 105 then its no good for ya.

@ Nige could you do a mild "tweek" on my jtd , i say a mild tweek as it has 125k on the clock would it cope witha full blown remap? also i,m running a stndard clutch (brand new ) and wouldnt want to change that again !!

Well took my car in into fiat today for a diagnostic and yup you guessed it nothing reared its ugly head!! Although they did find the vac hose to the turbo had a split in it.
Oh well guess i,m just gonna have to get Nigel wave his magic wand at it and gimme a few more horses!!
