Hi folks

First post be gentle with me.
I have a 1999 1.6 sx Brava which has caused me no problems at all until a couple of days ago when right out of the blue it wouldn't start one morning, it was fine the day before, it used to start straight away but now it behaves as if there is no choke or whatever the electronic version of a choke is.

Once it has started it will lump and die straight away unless I keep the revs up a bit and after it has driven about a mile its fine, idles about 800 revs and smooth as a smooth thing, its just the cold start.

I wondered if the temp sensor had died so the ecu didn't know it was cold but I have no idea what the sensor looks like or where it is, any help greatly appreciated

My 1.6 bravo is exactly the same! its a pain in the arse! still haven't got to the bottom of it yet either. can you let me know if you do? cheers!

Temp sensor for ECU is located on the thermostathousing its an NTC sensor so resistance should be 10000 ohm at 0° 4000 at 20° 2000 at 40°. Hope this will help you on the way.
