Technical Brand new 500C - will it need the B&M iPod adapter?

Hi all,

Back when I had my Abarth in 2009 I needed the B&M iPod adapter in order to play the .aac files on my iPod.

My parents just picked up a new 500C 1.2 Lounge yesterday. According to the blurb on the Fiat website it says 'recently produced 500s will not need the B&M iPod adapter'.

Can anyone confirm this is true and can you use the std. white iPod cable that comes with the iPod, or do you need to buy the €10 Fiat version?

Thanks for any help - im in a different country to them at the moment and they arent great with technology! Trying to help them out as best I can

If it's new (last 6 months or so) and has the latest version of Blue&me (5.4?) it should work with a normal White Apple lead, no special bits needed.
