Technical Braking when reversing

I wonder if anyone can help me; Whenever i reverse my stilo and then brake, the brakes make a horrible groanching sound. I have had it serviced recently so assume the brakes are ok?! Any ideas?

Wouldn't worry about it. I've had a few cars that do that, don't know why. I guess its because the calipers are designed for braking forwards and not backwards. My old Alfa 156 squealled something cruel when braking backwards, but fine forwards. My current Abarth doesn't squeak except if its been a bit below zero overnight, then it squeals for the first couple of applications, then fine.

Yeah, I suppose its just me being anal, tbh there are plenty of other niggles for me to be putting my concerns into!

It wouldnt hurt to give the pads a bit of a scree and copper grease if you are able to take them out yourself and have the time spare.
