I have just had the front pads changed on my Fiat Bravo. When I break at speed I am getting a lot of vibration through the front of the car. The discs don't appear to be scored or worn, and I've only done 27000. Any suggestions?

I think either poorly fitted pads, loose caliper or warped discs. Warped discs can be felt through the pedal as you brake! Usually if the discs are warped the pedal moves up and down under braking as the piston is pushed back into the caliper.

Re:Vibration

Steve, I have the same problem - just had new discs fitted by Arnold Clark and get vibration/grinding noise when breaking. The car is going back in this wednesday for a check. Their initial analysis is that the new pads are glazed? and they are going to roughen them up - if this works I'll let you know
