General brakes squeaking

when i stop at lights my brakes are squeaking and its not jus a low pitch squeak its a horrible heavy high pitch sound i brought it to the garage they said it was just dust and dirt but thats aload of you no what can anyone tell me what it actually is a what can stop it thanks alot people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:slayer:

I just got some drivemaster brand for mine, I have used them many times in the past on other cars & even for racing, they cost me £8.80 from an Andrew Page outlet

not fitted them yet, any day now, and if there isnt one, I will make a guide.
