Hi,
I have got a 124 Spider 1972. The car runs very well but after driving it for a short while, the brakes are gradually seizing and bringing the car to an halt.
I need to wait for the brakes to cool down then i am able to drive again...
Master cylinder , disc and pads have been changed recently.
Any idea where this problem could be coming from ??

Replace the flex lines going to the calipers and the one going to the proportioning valve for the rear brakes. If these are old, they may look okay but may be delaminating internally and creating a "one way" valve for fluid - you apply the brakes and fluid goes to the calipers under pressure, you let off the brakes but the delaminated hose collapses internally preventing pressure release.

wonderful answer, and one of the most usual suspects..

additionally to what George offers is that one or more of the pistons may be sticking inside the caliper when extended..due to corrosion.
