I can see your point but if you put the hand brake on the a frame it locks the wheels a trailer would be better but its more to tow and more to store
my motorhome is 5 1/4 ton 6 wheeler so will stop a 1300kg qubo

Just out of curiosity what are the maximum permutable tow weights of the motorhome for braked and unbraked trailers? Perhaps you'll be fine legally if the unbraked towing weight is upto that of the Qubo, hence why police are not pulling people over left right a centre when doing this with such a big vehicle?
