Brake Upgrade

OK, got a 1.4sx and i'm looking for some new discs and pads. Can anyone tell me what would be the best i.e. Red Dot, Brembo etc
Not looking for bigger discs just standard replacements

Red dot 6 groove discs and either red dot fast road pads or ferodo DS2000.

C.A.R. drilled and grooved with Ferodo DS pads - red dot pads you will have trouble getting as they havent made them for a while - they havent even got any stock themselves!
C.A.R. are £80 inc vat and Red Dot are at least 3 times that!
Agree with Tom though the Red Dot discs are very good but so bloody expensive, the C.A.R. ones aren't far behind though and no they don't crack - even with my driving!

Whatever you do though steer well away from anything made by EBC!

Everyone seems to go for Red Dot stuff but I fitted EBC discs/pads (turbo-groove discs & greenstuff pads) to my HLX. They look the ******** as they have a goldish zinc-coated finish, grooves AND blind-drilled holes.

The performance is good so far too.

EBC were wat i was gonna get till tom showed me Red Dot. even then i was still thinking EBC untill my mates dad (got a mental tuned honda prelude) had his fitted. with in a month he had to have new ones. free replacements he then had these another 3 weeks and then they warped again. tom says they crack but they didnt look like that to me they just got mega warped. he now running a big boy brembo kit. fecking jap crap cars get it so easy EVERYTHING is CHEAP
