Hi guys,
After driving around fully laden for most of the winter in our converted van (X250, 2007, 3.0, 155000km) we are now driving around unladen. Of course the van lifted its butt a bit since it's a few 100 kg lighter now. After driving the motorway about 40km my girlfriend and I started to notice a bounce. It's noticeable from 50km/h and above. It got quite annoying and I pulled over to visually inspect the suspension but couldn't see anything wrong.
I'm suspecting the rear shock absorbers are shot, and I didn't notice this as long as the van was fully loaded since there was much less play for them to bounce around. Any thoughts? At least the shocks are much less expensive than the leaf springs...
