I really like the standard 100HP wheels, but can't help myself searching for a set which will look even better. I think deep dish would look awesome and even better once I eventually get the KW's. Found these Borbet A and also seen them on a couple of cars recently with 7.5x16 on the front and 9x16 on the rear although they are available the same width all round of course. Any opinions on the 7.5x16, 9x16 setup? I.e. the look and any impact on the handling?

The wheels are on street racers

One thing to bear in mind when putting fatter tyres on the back is that the car has not been designed/setup up for that. This means that as you push on the chances are the car's handling characteristics will be completely different and with significantly more grip on the rear it'll tend towards understeer rather than being neutral as it is now. That can be fixed, but you'll be looking at ARBs to compensate. Probably not an issue at normal speeds, but may be a consideration :D

I have to say i like them! :)

BUT, i think they would need to be re-painted from silver to a smoked colour. I really like the uber euro style wide wheels....... I'm aware it could add stress to the hubs etc.

Please let me know if these really fit.

ps. K&W suspension is superb, going to be once nice looking panda, if it all fits without rubbing.

Glad there's at least one like minded person there, no disrespect to those who don't like the wheels btw.

Here's hoping they don't take too long to arrive, and that they fit well. Then it'll be save save save again for the suspension!:slayer:

I think it's going to look stupid, a very 80s(mercs all had them) wheel on a modern car uhh, also dont think the panda will take 9"x16" rims on the rear, mine at 6.5" do not leave much space under the arches, and if you mess with offsets you will end up with no dish to the wheel, if you look at 100hp wheel arch the trim does protrude under a fair bit, but at the end of the day it's your car do as you will and enjoy, good luck my friend and please keep us posted....

Have you thought about Ronal R10s or zender turbos, might only be available in 100mm PCD though. Thinking of getting some for the chevette and would be my wheel of choice if i was going to mod the 100hp.
