General Boot lock broken, and cable snapped, oooppps

chavers tried to get into my boot around chrimbo time, failed, or least broke the lock so I can't open it anymore with the key.

So been using the cable release, but now thats snapped (monday) I've got an MOT tommorrow afternoon and no way of getting into boot bottom to get the tool to release the lights so I can change a bloody bulb (which broke on sunday typical).


I can get into the boot via the seats, tried pulling the cable outer with some pliers but won't budge (prob because I secured it with extra clips last year when I changed the wiring loom! GGGRRRR!!!).

gonna try just removing all the bolts that I can get at and see if the lock will remove itself!!


Also anybody know how much/where to get the cable from? my two local dealers have shut down, theres no specialists (that I know of) and the next nearest one (30miles away) is a benfield, who won't even answer the phone, so they're a load of use :bang:

sounds daft, you tried giving the light tree a "tap"?
my rear driving light sometimes needs a little "tap" to get it back on


i say tap... i mean a good smack, something the RAF taught me

specialist dealer for Fiat... try your local garage who can put you in touch with a Fiat dealer they use... mine's up here uses Arnold Clark Fiat, and to be honest, they are probably the easiest to get a hold of.
