General Boot leak..with a difference !

I had opened the boot the other day and when I came to hold the super boot closer..I found the the fabric handle was soaking wet. I felt all around it but nothing else was even damp ?? Before (a) I take the trim panel off or (b) take it back to the garage, does anyone have any idea what this could be ???? Confused..

leaking rear washer pipe maybe or any chance some water has fallen in and hit the handle when it was raining and you've opened the boot??

When the hatch is closed the strap sits horizontal. If you have anything cold in the boot the strap can wick in the condensation from the container (ice cream etc).

I'll have a look at the strap from the inside tomorrow, but the strange thing was that only the strap was wet. Everything else was bone dry. Any food in the boot is normally in a cool box, so that can't be it.
