Today the 'boot open' message appeared on my OH stilo's display when I was driving it, (it's 5 door active 1.2 16V) I've done a search on here and it looks like both of the micro switches inside the lock aren't working. I say both as about six months ago the light stop working and I checked the bulb and it was fine, so I'm assuming its switch has also stopped working.
I tried the key tonight but realised the lock was totally corroded up, I don't have any plusgas in the house so I gave it a blast of WD40, after a bit of fiddling I can now get the key about half way in.
So I now have a couple of questions, how far does the key actually have to go in before you can turn it? Is half way in normal?
Secondly can you open the boot from inside, I read someone say they used the manual release inside the boot, I had a quick look in the boot, typically it's full of pram which made things a bit interesting trying to manoeuvre it about through the back seats, I can't seem to see any manual release. Am I missing something?
Any help would be much appreciated!
