General Bonnies not pulling....

Sorry this might be a bit long.... We've just got our van back after having a Reconditioned engine fitted... she's a 1998 Fiat Ducato 1.9td. She has been in a garage for 4 months getting this done... They wont guarantee their work as we supplied the engine... in general shes running well. Only issue I have is pulling away in 1st gear.. you have to give her excessive revs... she didnt do this with her original engine... to be honest id rather not go back to the mechanic that did the job anyway as I've no faith in him.

Im thinking... she may need an adjustment on the fuel pump.. although I dont have a lot of experience with diesels.. i'm willing to have a go... myself..just looking for advice...

If someone could help i'd really appreciate that.

Given that Bonnie is a turbo diesel, the first thought would be to check the turbo outlet hoses for leaks, via loose clamps etc.

She had her turbo refurbed aswell so I'll have a look at the hose clamps...
