Bonnet Stone chips

Does anyone else out there suffer from excessive stone chips on the Bravo.

Anybody know of a decent service with reasonable prices? Fiat dealerships are rip off merchants and shoddy workmen.

Also, anyone else suffer from a dodgy driver's seat. Seems to move at joint between back and seat cushion when accelerating or braking.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Tom,

Don't know is this is any use to you but both my husband and I have Bravo's and when we got them (second hand) they had quite a few stone chips on them.We got them from Reg Vardy and they did touch-ups on the paintwork and did a great job. Unfortunately I can't tell you how much it costs because they didn't charge us for it but they're very reasonable for everything else and they do an excellent job.

On the subject of the seat, again, I don't know if it is relevent, but the previous owner of my car (a P reg) reported trouble with the driver's seat and had a broken backrest repaired.I've had the car for eight months and the seat is fine, at least I've never noticed anything wrong.

Yep- My drivers side seat squeaks when accelerating- I've been generous with the WD40 but does seem to make any difference. Any ideas would be gratefully received.

"Stone Chips" - poor paint or just stone covered roads?

Hi Nic

I have a bravo JTD GT in black, its only 10 months old but i have a couple of stone chips on the car. Would this happen to say a VW Golf/BMW or is the paint work on a Fiat Bravo Poor? I must admit, I am pissed off with lorries not covering their load of chippings etc, everytime I overtake one on the motorway, they shower my car with them. I have noticed also that the roads are littered with small stones, which don't help.

What I am trying to get at is are you both happy with your Fiats?, this is my third Fiat Bravo and although its of the 2nd generation, the build quality is still not acceptable. I don't know whether I should upgrade to a Golf GT TDI or because I like Italian Cars wait until the new Alfa Romeo 147 is out next year.

i have the same problem on both seats, and the driver's seat don't recline anymore
