General Bonnet Sound Proofing

Eh up all,

I finally got pi##ed off with the sound proofing getting “ brewers droop every time I open the bonnet and decided a simple fix was required

It annoys the hell out of me the bl&&dy thing sags every time I open the bonnet !!!! It’s probably just me, but what’s the cost of a push on fir tree to Fiat

So mod of the day

Got the drill out, packed out the bonnet cavity behind as I know what I’m like

Drilled out centre useless flap and then bonnet cavity.
Touched up drill hole with a touch up paint
Fit screw in push plug - result
Soundproofing stays in place and doesn’t sag like…………..

Took all of 15 minutes

At least it stops my OCD every time I open the bonnet - I’ll call it therapy

Then had a good clean underneath- at least it made me happy

Mine has no sag (2018, 56000 miles). I suspect yours must have got quite wet at some point if it’s lots it’s shape?

Nope just droopy like my other one was , always sagged as the three tangs on the cover don’t support the rear side and just slip out !,,

All mine have done this , unless im just unlucky
