General Bonnet release problem - please help

Hi All,

I have a '99 Marea 2.4JTD. Problem is the bonnet release underneath the steering column has come away and is dangling by the pedals!
The bonnet release still works, it's just not secured to anything!

I read on another thread it may need to be "pushed" into a "holder", is this correct?
Has anyone had the same problem and able to advise the best way of securing it again?

it clips in, there is a clip at either side of the lever, however if either side is snapped then you'll need to replace it, which is easy enough.

How far down the lever should it clip in - do you have a diagram of where the clips are located?

its easy to tell if you look on the sides of the lever, the clips are easy to see. dont have a pic sorry.

Thanks for your help - it's now sorted. The clips seemed to be in place and took me 10 minutes to sort.
