Looking for advice please regarding my bonnet alignment as it is too high at front.
It looks like its touching half way along the sides. Was wondering if removing the rubber seal would help, is it needed, I've seen cars without it?
Ive tried adjustment but don't want the rear sides high, any advice, tips appreciated.
Note looking at the photos is not as bad as in life, its quite noticable.
Or is this just normal?

Hi Mo. Since it looks high all around I would think that would point to the bonnet mounting point (3 bolts near the windscreen) Have you recently re-fitted the bonnet?
I've had endless fun with my bonnet since I got Rosie, with alignment, with it not latching, not releasing etc! At the moment all is good. BTW my latest "wont latch" incident was actually down to a plastic petrol can that, in one orientation, was just slightly too tall!
P.S It would be good to meet up soon, as we discussed before Christmas.

At the age of your car it is exceedingly unlikely that either the bonnet, the front wings, or the front panel are original. And unless their fitment was done with exceeding precision and with a bit of good luck, the chances of a perfect fit are slim. Even then, you are subject to the manufacturing tolerances of replacement panels.
Although you have to be aware that the height of the rubber cone is what assists the opening of the bonnet, I found that by slicing the tip off it the bonnet fits better on my car. There has always been a bigger tolerance gap all around the bonnet edges than on most cars.

Hugh, think you've got me mixed up with someone else.
