Hi, we have been having a major headache with rear toe on one rear side of our car only. We have measured all the mounting points and they match perfectly with the non-issue side to the mm. We assumed the arm was bent so have fitted a replacement with new bushes etc. Same issue. We have enlarged the oval mounting holes in the front bracket and shimmed the bushes more and still we cant get it into spec. The car doesn't appear to be twisted etc as the rear screen lines up perfectly with the front etc etc. We have found the rear bearing to have been built up completely incorrectly so have ordered a new kit....in case that could be the issue. That rear has also broken two "driveshaft locking safety plates". Hopefully this new bearing may fix the issue.
If it doesn't I just wanted to check what people thought of my next idea! We could shim with a plate with the relevant holes in behind the backplate a few mm using new bolts etc getting the hub at the correct angle etc that would also allow the driveshaft to also be at the correct angle, fix the toe and stop it breaking the locking plates. I know it would not be the exact way to fix this but would it be safe? Picture of area we may shim below. Many thanks
