Are different colour sidelight bulbs legal? even if you dont use them apart from shows, meaning that you just use the headlights?
most of the led ones (other than white) will say for show or off road use only, as some cops may overlook it, others may pull you for it (or use it as an excuse to have a look at your insurance docs etc)

oh and they're always on with the headlights too (unless you remove the fuse :p)

when you have your lights on the first notch, it has the sidelight bulb lit up, and the dip light is on but dimmer than normal, the dip/dim fuse is the one for the dimmed circuit so that when you have it on the first notch only the sidelights are switched on :)

Just wondering. I have a 'tolerant' MOT'er anyway. :D :D :D

Dan the MOT'er that you use, is it a Bournemouth one if so tell me next week when I see you as the ex G/F's car needs MOT'd in Jan & the friendly place I used to take it to, has moved to Winton somewhere to bigger premises (can't really be arsed to find out where) & she needs someone to be aware that her 106 Rallye has no cat due to the full group N Peugeot Sport exhaust that is on it, even tho when you put it on the gas analyser it still comes up clean it is ment to have one ;)

not sure if they'll melt - i tell you if my break!

thats mine with white LEDs and the dim disabled. to kill the dim/dip look at the fuse box, left hand side theres a relay and a 7.5A fuse. Pull the 7.5A fuse, thats it.

PhatAshKi - what bulbs do you have (main lights, not sidelights). Make sure u post pics when u have the white with blue tint sidelights (i nearly got some of them, but opted for pure white)

In those pics they are the single Blue LED Sidelight (501), wen i get the super white wit blue tints, ill post some pics for ya.

Im hoping Robert (bloke from ultraleds) gets back to me soon, aint got anyword yet, but the ones i paid for are like twice as much as these, i know its only a couple of quid but not the point is it, ill see tomoz and if not ill email him again.

Hes someone at my work that would do it in his lunchtime. Hes very unlikely to 'help' anyone he doesnt know as he is a chief mechanic and would lose his job if he did 'miss' something that should have failed the car. Sorry m8. wish i could help.

yes, as long as the head of the bulb isnt too big. go measure the sidelight hole, some of the leds are around 15mm wide. which fit i think, but best to check

After seeing this thread I remembered I had some blue sidelight bulbs (not led's) that I took out b4 my MOT.

I had a popped headlight and needed to change that so popped my blue sidelights in whilst I was there, Nowhere near as good as the led's but a nice effect all the same. Absolute bargain at £1.50 (y)
