500 Blue and me unit needed using aftermarket stereo?

Hiya Guys/Girls, Quick one...ish. I have a 2015 500 CULT. Convergence unit totally dead (damp, irreparable) and finding one with correct part number (52013328) seems almost impossible. I've also tried a 2013, 2009, 2011 unit but they fail to recognise on the diagnostic (Autel DS808).

Question is...If I buy a touch screen, nav, apple c/p etc aftermarket stereo...does this do away with the actual need for a functioning blue & me/convergence unit? Will the mileage still flash? (ideally if the mileage stops flashing id be happy.


Any ideas?
