Recently while driving I went to make a call through blue and me and it froze on the menu screen, restarted car and went back to normal sceen. Since this little incident the menu button for blue and me on the steering wheel does not working and the skip song buttons do not work when a media player is plugged in. However I can still play music from the media player and pause it, I just have to select which music i want from the iphone before plugging in, I can also still make calls as long as they are initiated from the phone. I have taken the car into fiat and they have said that it is the blue and me convergence system that has failed and as it is not covered on 3rd year warranty and it will cost £384 to replace. They have suggested I ring fiat customer service to see if they can help. But before i do that i was hoping someone on here might have any tips on how to fix?

I've had this problem a couple of times.
I solved it by following a couple of other threads and disconnecting the car's battery for a couple of hours.
Some people have had to enter the radio code and pair their phone again, but I never had to.. just had to reset the clock and date in the car.

Good luck :)

Mine did the same and I can't figure out either. I'll keep looking at some threads to figure this out, hopefully it will be a cheap fix.

Sorry completely forgot to update this, after Telford branch of tj vickers insisted that the convergence unit was faulty I rang the original salesman in the Shrewsbury branch and he told me to bring it to them and they would sort it. Anyway sat in the waiting area for half an hour while they looked at it and the mechanic came out and told me that he had seen the problem before and that it was related to b&m playing certain tracks then freezing. He said he reset the b&m unit with their diagnostics machine and that it was now fine. Tested it myself and it was indeed working as well as it ever had. They even washed my car, bonus. So if you need to take a fiat for some work I suggest going to Shrewsbury instead of Telford as apparently this isn't the first time something like this has happened.

i also had this problem before and all i did was reinstall the latest software update via the usb stick and that did the trick. so instead of the hassle of going to a garage try that first to see if it works.
