Bloody MOT time

Just had the wifes vectra in to the garage for its pre-MOT check, and its not good news

1) pass side cv boot insecure

2)Anti-roll bar links

3)All bushes on the rear suspension, 6 in total!!

4)Handbrake non existant (funny how its on just now and the car hasnt moved lol)does need adjusted tho

5)4x tyres

6)front top mounts

7)number plate seperating

8)rear discs needing replaced

9)engine missfire

10)sidelight bulb

11)reverse lights not working (reverse light switch)




OH FFS!!!!! MORE MONEY GOING OUT!!!!

Hate mot time!

When i had the sei and i put that in, i was crapping it, thought it had no hope in hell of passing, even had it in bits morning of the mot!

there always seems to be several things needed come mot time. i also feel you're pain

Mine isnt due til august on the Cally...but if i put it in as is, it'd have no hope in hell of passing, same goes for the cinq, but thats off the road atm. the cost involved of getting either through and mot is a scary thought right now

i hear ya buddy, garage quoted me over a grand to do the work, i recon i will get all the bits for £2-250 and do it all by myself

Mine is due in March..... 2 days after I come back from France/Amsterdam..... I will have no money so, fingers crossed lol

Might as well, do it before mate, you don't want the car to be sitting there then MOT. You are allow to take your car for a MOT up to a month before the expiry date! And they will add the extar days on the mots if u take it in before expiry, so don't lose out.

Mine thankfully isn't till Sept, though it'll be a the same time as trying to move flat so it'll be interesting to pay for and organise depending on how much needs done. Bit smug about the last one though - didn't cost me a thing in prep/repairs or even the MOT itself...I love independent garages

I mean the earliest I can put it in is the start of march thats why I am wanting it in so early, to give me time to get what ever is fked sorted
