I still can't believe that they would damage it and then in an attempt to cover it up, alter documents. Oh, hang on, I can, it sounds just like an unprofessional company. What REALLY sets them apart form the others is that they even messed up the altering of the document and put the wrong damage on it!

I think that it is actually fraud to alter paperwork after a customers signature and is in fact a criminal offence.

Perhaps you should threaten them with legal action.

Dave, want me to write a letter for you?

If so just let me know, I would need all the actual details - it wouldn't be a funny email but laying down the facts in writing.

Sure, wouldn't be able to do it until tues/weds i don't think next week. But I would do it for you not a problem.

this thread has now had 322 views, and them 322 people will proubaly tell 3-5 others and rhey 3-5 others and so on, i wonder if they care about there rep. i will post a pic of the undamaged wing tomorrow that they changed on the form to damaged, and also try and get a scan of the form.
Of course if they come good and do the right thing i will post it here.

I'll buy myself a law degree on the internet and represent you if you in court. My hair's going thin on top, so the wig you have to wear in court would be useful anyway.

Dave, my advice is to write down your complaints in summary form, such as:

Took the car to you, as it is x years old it obviously had a few pre-existing scratches.
Including:
*name scratches*

Scratches "enter scratches" were written down on a sheet which I signed.

Scratches were created on the bonnet.

Autoglass then altered the inspection sheet after I had signed it stating there was a pre-existing scratch on the wing.

No such scratch exists on the wing, the inspection sheet was fraudently modified by Autoglass incorrectly.

My complaint is about a scratch on the bonnet, of which even following the illegal modifications to the document, aren't signed down.

Can't believe they say "independent branch" - erm, there's no such thing as an independent person part of the same company.
