Hi, would a Blaupunkt Satnav system 7 612 001 433 from a mk2 (2001) Punto fit a later mk2b (2005) version without any problems as I understand the wiring may be a little different?

Also it appears that my car doesnt have a GPS receiver but I assume you could fit a aftermarket one?

Finally on the factory CD player is there a option that increases the volume with the speed of the car? The reason I ask is that I was wondering if the speed wire (which the Satnav requires) is fitted as standard

Thanks in advance

In response to your last point;
the function is called SVC (volume changing with speed).
Press menu until you see SVC. Use the fast forward or rewind buttons to change from 'SVC ON' or 'SVC off'. As to your others queries, not a clue.

Hope that helps.

you will need the 5 disc changer and hgt dash to go with it to play cds, and the cable that joins the 2 together. you will be better off with a normal factory cd player.

what do you call a bargain? think i got less than 20 quid for mine and i sold it with the gps reviver and cables

Why would a need a HGT dash? Not a problem though as mine is a HGT!
I paid £50 for the unit and the 5 disc autochanger and the cable you mentioned is already there

I'm pretty sure the mk2b HGT never had a sat nav as standard (most manufactures don't fit sat nav as standard) my HGT mk2b came with a dealer fitted traffic master sat nav

Have you got the Maping software for the sat nav you'll need the latest CD you can get to make it worth while
