Technical Blaupunkt CD Player Issues

Another strange thing with the CD Player unit this time...

This has happened for the second time now:

The CD Player will stop working. When you turn off the top (radio) unit, it then powers down the CD Player. When you turn it back on, and switch it to SOURCE = 'CD', the CD Player appears to look for a CD, but then the numbers (1 to 5) down the side of the player which normally glow in green begin to flash in orange.

The first time I had this I took out the radio unit, disconnected the CD Player cable and after plugging it back in everything was fine. I've tried taking out the CD Player to see if there's a reset button but I cannot get the thing out. When I stick in the tool there's no clicking to say that the things holding it have been released.

Any thoughts lads... help would be much appreciated.

You'd need to find a blaupunkt repair centre, and take both the Radio (head unit) and the CD unit and have them re-coded, have the same trouble and more with mine, but at least having the units re-coded let them talk to one an other again.

Believe it or not, the bloody thing decided to start working again.
After almost a month it just began playing one of the CD's this morning.

I'm speechless... I really don't know about that car...
