hello
ok, if hotels in blackpool aren't playing fair - there is always st annes. It is just down the road from Blackpool, literally - straight down Clifton drive.
The huge car park as you come off the motorway might a wee bit busy, i've been in blackpool the last couple of friday nights and that way in was heavily congested. There are other ways into it though, but they get a lil busy.. what i'm trying to say is expect traffic. afaik that car park is free after 7.
As David has said, there is a Frankie & Benny's not far from the prom. There is also a mc donalds, a pub, gym and a cinema there. HOWEVER - they do clamp cars on there, so i dont recomend using it as a parking point if you are going to wonder into town.
Even nearer the motorway is Tesco. It is a 24hour jobby, and has a huge car park. Even when Tesco is shut, i've never seen this car park blocked off. If any of you know the end of the m55, instead of staying on and heading down Yeadon Way (to main car parks) you come off just before heading for south shore and swing a right, then left at the lights.
Other large car parks, morrions / mc donalds at south shore, near the airport. Easy to get to also (watch out for speed cameras on the 30mph dual carrigeway). The retail park there is pretty big, but the car parks for office world / mapin / pet world / halfords etc is normally closed off at night.
Travel lodges.. / premier inn there is one at one end of the main central car park. It's called The Yeadon Way. I don't know of any others, it's not often i stay in Blackpool, only ever stayed at The Imperial, and thats a bit pricey i think!!
