I think it could be oil getting into one or more of the cylinders. Or dodgy fuel.
had black smoke and power loss,,, found to be the hose from the turbo,,,,
its a 4inch piece of hose thad had a split in it,, as the pressure built up from the turbo the split would open up and air would leak out, but same amount of fuel would be injected,, this in turn would not burn due to lack of airflow ,,thus black smoke,,, take pipe off to inspect as split would be at back of hose so can easyly be missed,,, easy repair new hose 5pounds.....
