As title says,

Have my eye on a set of bumpers& side skirts for my punto mk2. they are cc'd black, but i was gonna jus put them on the car as they are.

anybody know if its been done, or if it looks good?

Im not sure tbh, you could always photoshop your car to look like it has black bumpers and skirts and see what you think? Or just fit them and if you dont like it, get them sprayed lol
Im thinking about doing this to my car, like black bumpers, boot and roof but im not sure yet and im not good at photoshop lol :D

tried a quick bit of photoshop, doesnt look 2 bad...
lowered 35mm, front splitter & black skirts

not sure about cc'd bumpers, as the gold is faded a good bit on passenger side, so might just smooth & spray bumpers

Hi mate, I like what you've done so far!

I would say the front splitter would look fine black as its on the bumper which is black ...

The Skirts i would spray them if it was me as they would be more noticeable and would look smart matching the car and with that 35mm drop would look slick (y)

I have the same gold and fading will make it fairly difficult tbh but with some blending it should come out ok :slayer:

Thats looking good mate, i think that the black bumpers and skirts look pretty good imo.
Just wondering how did you photoshop a 35mm drop? cos im getting lowered 35mm soon and wanted to know what it would look like, if you feel nice you could photoshop mine for me :D

yeah mate, jus upload a picture & ill give it a go...
wat i done was measure somtin on the car that was 35mm, in this case the center cap of alloy - blue fiat circle was 35mm, then draw a line in photoshop over that part, move the top of the line to the bottom edge of the arch, then lower the car to bottom of line

prob not 100% right, but looks good.

@ Ben2693, could u upload a picture of your car from the same kinds viewpoint as mine?... I want to photoshop on a gold bumper and cant really get any at that sort of angle.
Lense of camera should be level with headlight if thats any help!

Cheers in advance

not sure about cc'd at all....look at the colour difference!

Ive done a small scrape repair on passenger side & u can clearly see the faded paintwork
the paint matched fine on the drivers side, i took of fuel flap and even thats a different colour lol

Hi mate that's quite alright :)

The Paintwork looks fine, You can see a slight, fade but maybe worth trying to blend it in more if its really bugging you... Plus as you repaired it you know where it was done so you'll pick up on the marks ...

Ask someone that doesn't know about the paint work and see what they say (y)

Its one of those colours tbh ... Cc'd skirts may just hide where other work has been done may help blend it ;)

Black bumpers could look ok, but I suspect satin finish would be better than gloss. Check out the red car with gloss black bumpers - not quite right IMHO.

Otherwise CC to the main body colour.

a lot of standard puntos have the matt black bumpers.... keeping the new ones like this would be fine, but a little out of place being after market trims. c/coding the bumpers/skirts would look much better and any body shop worth while will be able to match and blend in the paint to finish it off. if you were to go for gloss black, the only way i can see it working is if you were to paint the bottom half of the body work to get a 2-tone finish.
