O.K. so its just my remote central locking and alarm that doesnt work, has anyone come across this problem before or have any ideas? Thanks BigAndy

(not a fuse or battery problem and I dont have the red key)

here (hopefully) is a picture of my punto key.
your bravo will have the same contents? have a look.

part 1 is your alarm, nothing to do with the immobiliser which is part 2.

if you do decide to go for an aftermarket one, you will need pt. 2 cloning.

perhaps you told your fiat dealer that the immobiliser stopped working, i dont know if you can order a new fiat alarm separatly by your chassis no. ask again at your dealer.

Re: Re: Re: Bit of luck then

Didnt get the picture mate but no worries i will phone Fiat and ask about just a new alarm, is it worth looking at the remote central locking sensor to see if thats the problem with it and the alarm and if so do you know about that??

Dont mean to sound clueless but ive tried most things and after months and months its getting a bit annoying!

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Bit of luck then

but without the gap in http

you can try checking the connections if you like.
disconnect and reconnect them and it may start working again if you have a bad connection.

i doubt it will be a sensor.
at a guess i'd say there is probably an aerial which will just be a length of wire with nowt attached to the end. but i dont think it will be this.

Got the picture, nice one.
Do you mean the connections in the key?
I will take a look.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Bit of luck then

check both. if the contacts in the car key are dirty,(even slightly) then clean them.

failing that, check the connections to the siren etc.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Bit of luck then

i was also gonna say, use a fresh piece of blue tack to remove light, surface corrosion.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Bit of luck then

Got the key appart where the metal bit from the battery side touches the circuit board, to make a connection, its got some wear on it. Slight bit of solder to sort this prehaps?

However when the keys little light was working, leading me to believe it was functioning correctly, there was no response from the cars central locking/ alarm. Therefor it must be a problem with the car side of things right?

Re: Re: Bit of luck then

Thanks for your help Craig, was hoping it was a simple problem but its looking expensive, Ill give Fiat another ring 2mo. Thanks again.

Re: Re: Re: Bit of luck then

dont forget to ask specifically, ask if they can supply the alarm without the key.

if they cant, i think you may need a new red key and an alarm!
