Hello all - I just need a quick bit of advice. Went and saw a nice Uno Start today, and everything looks rather good, nice body, mechanicals look good etc, but when I was testing the clutch with the handbrake on full, it was slowly creeping forward, indicating that maybe the rear drums were a bit knackered....any ideas? If it is the brakes, how much to get em done?

Also any other thoughts/things to look out when I go and have another look in a few days?

yeah my handbreak was ****e when i got my car i could drive with it on and not notice!

i took it to the garage to have them look at it and they told me it was fine... oddly.... when i got it home it was working great (y)

go figure, i cant get my car to move with it on now w00t!

Sadly the one I wanted got sold this morning - had a look at another one today, it had blatantly been in a front end crash - crazy amounts of filler around the engine bay, all cracking apart - be careful of Dark Blue Unos in Essex

On a scale from 0 to 10, I'd rate the Uno handbrake at 2. They are bad, and if not, they'll become bad fast. So no need to be scared of a bad Uno handbrake.

Morten.
