Technical bio deisel and 1998 fiat fiorino

Can anyone tell me if a 1998 td fiorino will run on cooking oil,I have heard that
because the fuel system is not a boosch type it will not work.
Other people say it will work please please can someone give me the yes or no

It will run on cooking oil......for a while.
Build up dirt will stop the engine soon.....your choice..!

Rapeseed oil is the way to go!!!
Mix it with normal Diesel in winter though to stop it freezing,and mix it in summer too!! theres loads of info on the net which tells you what to mix it at.But loads of my friends are running on this neet in summer,and they do some miles!!dont think dirt will be a problem.

One massive contradiction here! Yes, will run on Bio-Diesel, but not sure personally on chip-fat. They're two totally different things!

If dirt will not stop you, dissolving fuel lines will!
No Fiat built before about 2008 will have bio fuel prove fuel lines......
You can do some km's or ml's, sure, but after that, you can throw away the ruined engine, and find a new one....!!
Expensive solution, if you ask me.
Oh, and it WILL fail at mott...

Peter are you refering to cooking oil, or chemically cut vegtiable oil (aka Bio-diesel, as it properly is).

Cooking oil I'd agree with you, but think you'll find that chemically cut Bio-Diesel actually has better properties for your engine.

I'm talking about 100% Bio Diesel, not cooking oil.
Bio Diesel contains very aggressive acids, that will dissolve fuel lines and O-rings that are not specific made for the use of Bio Diesel.
In Germany recently there was great concern, because the government wanted to add 10% Bio Diesel at normal Diesel....even this relative small amount of BioDiesel is enough to ruin most engines.
After much protest, they now use 5% biodiesel, that's just enough for older diesels ( < 2008!)

I wouldnt risk it! Surely 60mpg on a run is good enough? replacement parts are scarce enough without risking a failure.
