This problem is really starting to **** me off [:(!]

The back left wheel is now so bad that it actually locks up when traveling across gravel. Bearing in mind I have no technical knowledge, is there anything (simple) I can do to unbind the wheel and keep it that way. For example, is there any specific lever or pivot that I can jiggle around or apply greese to?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

The cables get sticky, about £15 each, and the linkages at the back - the bit the cable attaches to - has a pivot inside the drum which seizes up. The linkages are about £8 each from Fiat.

This has happened a few times to me, get on your hands and knees and look underneath, Where the handbrake cable attachs to the arm that goes into the drum, grab hold of it and give it a pull to the back of the car, this will fix it tempoary.
