General Biggest Engine Possible

General Biggest Engine Possible

Whatever the hell yu want.

I reckon yu could shoehorn a 8L v6 in the back with minimal work.

Realistically, I ve seen pics of a 1400 bored to a 1600cc in the front of a Cinq, but it needs major work (eg: car totally rewiring, new ECU, remodelling of front end using big lump hammer)

If works not an issue, go for a 1242cc 16v, then its purely electrical, as the block fits fine, and the head might need some remodelling to fit, but that has 85BHp as std :)

chubson is doin a 1400 turbo conversion

really want to try n drop a 2ltr init

then thrash the corsas that come up the side of me n rev the nuts off themselves!

The 1.4 turbo isnt unreasonable.....

But I think yude struggle with any more than that in it...there just isnt the room in the engine bay. But I like the idea of a specially geared bus engine in the back:D

I have been looking at engine conversions to mini's and the best one by far has to be the suzuki hayabusa engine (1300cc). this engine can be heavily modified after aswell (so i am told).... but they are not cheap, about £1.5-2k.
i would love to stick one into my cinq, because although it clearly is not as big as some of the others that would prob fit in, it has definately got the most power for its wieght :D

I will search for the link, but i swear it said something like 400bhp mini!

lol, tbh its probably just the fact that it is a hayabusa (love the name!). i just got the westfield car brochure through the post, they put it in their kit cars....

they do three types of bike engine, although the hayabusa seems the best by far-

Honda Blackbird- 1100

Honda Fireblade- 900

Suzuki Hayabusa- 1300 :D :D :D :D :D

How i see it is if westfield use it, it must quite decent...
did you see the westfield on Top Gear, it had a well decent lap time (approx 1 min 27), it beat a whole lot of other cars.

I just cant' understand why anyone would want to stick a 2ltr engine in a Cinq just to beat Corsas/Paxos/106s. I mean, just ram a 1242 in there, tune it to buggery and there you go. Cheap as chips and more insurance friendly

Yeah...and a damn sight easier too!!

Wont beat everything, but I reckon with enough tuning, could surprise lots of things.

oh i see, yeh i am with you on that one.... if i ever do an engine conversion it will definately be a 1242. A 2 ltr engine just destroys the point in having a small car. Although i would like to see a pic of the biggest engine ever to be put into a cinq/sei.

Lets face it, if you wanna beat everything on the road, you don't want a Cento. There's only so much that can be done

Surely a geet big engine upfront will just mean you understeer all over the place?

Better off with a nicely tuned smaller unit (y)

Def agree with that pete. I woudl say that a 1242 Turbo is more than enough for a cinq after it has been tuned. Look at Tosh's (Julio_Scorchio) it has been tuned by novitec and is pushing 120BHP. On paper for power per tune it is just under a Focus RS and Civic Type R.

Putting a 2 litre in a cinq would cost loads on insurance, cinqs are not about power they are about fun and cornering.

A fully wired and plumbed in Hayabusa engined Cinq is 10k+!!!

How do I know? I enquired!

Crazy money for something that will only put out 160bhp without further tuning.

Turbo or twin turbo a 1242 16v for that money.

The 2ltr Novas and Corsas don't handle that well in the bends, that's where the Cinq comes good!
