Hi
I had to do the cv joint boot a while ago, you need to undo the big driveshaft nut, then jack up the van and remove the wheel. Theres 2 sets of nuts and bolts holding the hub to the lower shock absorber undo them, the track rod end needs to be undone as well.
You might have to undo the brakes and caliper and tie it up, you might be alright.
At the gearbox end the driveshaft is held to the gearbox with 3 little nuts about 120 degrees apart. I used a real long extention to undo those.
Warning you need a bowl underneath the gearbox and driveshaft as when you pull the driveshaft out, the gearbox oil will flood out.
Now you should be able to push the driveshaft back towards the engine and through the hub hole and then just pull the driveshaft out. You will have to move the hub quite a bit to do this, maybe use a bit of force.
I got a reconditioned driveshaft so came with all new boots etc.
Then just reassemble and remember to top up the gearbox oil.
Garage quoted me 2 hours to do this job.
Please someone correct me if I have said anything wrong.
