Jonas, mods on modern cars do only make a very small difference.

103BHP is the quoted figure at the flywheel, NOT the wheels.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: BHP

hmmm....154bhp + 100bhp N20 = 254bhp....:) :) :)

Nige - Hurry up with the remap for my HGT!

After remap = 277bhp!!!

I'll wake up soon...lol

Ok im getting pissed off now. where in gods earth is there a web site where i can find an induction kit for a 1.6 16v bravo?!!! Ive found **** loads for 1.4 12v and HGT 20v and even the odd 1.8, but **** all for the 1.6.

HELP!!!

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: BHP

Nowhere. The ramair one does not fit (I have the pics to proove it and somewhere an email from ramair) and no-one else even tries to make one.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: BHP

So your saying there is no induction kit for the 1.6?!!!! Thats insane. what ****ing idiot decided on that one?!

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: BHP

The 1.6 is the black sheep of the range, the distance from throttle to filter box is very long as you probably know so needs alot of hose and hence costs alot to make a kit.

I'd keep away from the BMC filter, they are badly made and a ripoff. Their idea of an induction kit is a flimsy push on plastic collar to make the filter outlet the right size and a length of aluminium ducting to connect it all up. No hose clips at all to stop it falling to bits and letting dirt into your engine.

Its basically a £30 filter in a rough carbon fibre tube.

K&N have an induction kit for the 1.6

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: BHP

do u know where i can get one?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: BHP

Don't, its awful. The whole point of an induction kit is to improve on whats already there, the K&N makes it worse if you ask me.

bhp

yes mate i used to own one untill i stuffed into a lampost at 70mph. anyway they run standered at 103bhp i got mine up to 115bhp with just a k+n 57i kit which i got new for 70 brick and a stainless back box it ran like a dream.

Re: bhp

12BHP with an induction kit?

and I've just seen a flying pig!

Re: Re: bhp

extra 12bhp from an induction kit AND a stainless backbox if you read it properly

Re: Re: Re: Re: bhp

That sure is some increase. I wouldn't expect that with a pipercross viper.
Backbox doesnt make a scrap of difference, you need a full system with manifold to see an increase in that department

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: bhp

Ah.. you'd probably find most other rolling roads would give you about half that increase.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: bhp

well thats what the dyno read if you don't believe it put it to the test and see for yourself.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: bhp

I'm going to get my 1.6 done at some point, need a new exhaust first as I know mine is blocked as anything.

Yogis has SS exhaust, manifold, K&N on his 1.8 and it dyno'd at 113BHP.
