At 1am this morning, upon pulling up to a set of traffic lights (with 4 lanes) i pulled into the middle one and then realised i had an RS Turbo to my left and an XR2i Fiesta to my right. Realising fairly quickly that the roads were empty and these guys were gonna race from the lights. You always get that feeling when there are young guys behind the wheel and bass booming all around you! Being as it was a quiet road onto a single carrageway (50 mph) i decided to join in for a laugh. As the lights turned green i got away quick due to some classy clutch-work (Escort + Fiesta wheelspinning) i was away first but seconds later the RS Turbo flew past as i was at 35-40mph. Then the Fiesta also flew past at about 70. I can't get 5th gear at the moment so had to ease of at 70 as the revs where too high. Then i was alone on a dark road cursing my 5th gear [:(!] Was sure i could keep the Fiesta behind me to at least 90.... :D

Thats the good thing about these sportings very nippy to around 40mph with proper clutch contol, in my youth i had many a nova sr, cavalier 1.6 etc feels good when ya do! :D
Did well to keep a 2i fiesta behind you for that long! :p

I have considerably more mods, THAN YOU!

i believe that pete's quarter mile speed was around 70 - - if so you'd have got the XR2i on the strip!

NOS Guzzlers are just lower beings :D

Mine would probably do that but bearing in mind my car is very tempremental at the moment, i didn't want to over rev it. Knew i'd get passed anyway, just wanted to prove a point for us Cinq owners [8D]

Rest in the knowledge that they were driving a fiesta, and u, thank god, weren't!! ;)
