Right, I have just got a 2 yr old Stilo. I f**king love it.

I had a Problem with the cd player, and after much a gnashing of teeth the bloke i bought it from replaced it with the standard stilo radio / cas' and £150.00. (its a long story)mad:

Anyway i now want to stick in a multi changer. I have spoke to Fiat and they tell me its 270 quid for the Blaupunkt dashboard 5 disk, or 230 for the unit without the leads and moded inner.

My question to you lot is this : Can i not get a multi changer of my choice..
say a Sony/JVC..etc, and have this mounted in the dash, the get and adaptor cable to go from this into the back of the Stilo Radio.

Fiat say that with the Stilo Radio you can ONLY fit the Blaupunkt gear...is this right / True / my only option ?( failing replacing the actual radio unit itself)

It's likely the Stilo Radio is made by Blaupunkt anyway which is why there is a compatibility issue, take it out and look for a sticker on the casing and all will be revealed.

Get the model number of the head unit and ring someone like www.bassjunkies.com and ask them - you'll probably find most changers of the same make as the head unit will work.

The stereo is made by Visteon, dont know why they dont use visteon cd changers though
