Hi people My name is Keith Howell I own a fiat based motorhome.
I have BCM problems !
First I've been scammed of my BCM /fuse/relay assy , I'm more than angry
I'm desperate to get motorhome back on road
Has anybody had similar experience?
Guidance please on steps to take?
Thanks in advance for any help .

Hi Googlbot
Thank you for your interest.
My Fiat Ducato 2010 2.2 litres engine had been displaying various faults , wipers not parking and just stopping.- headlights just turning off- multitude of warnings being displayed - oil pressure light taking 25 seconds to turn off when starting (no engine problems and changed oil pressure sensor) these faults fixed by mechanics but only temporarily. Informed BCM was problem and it required changing or cloning.

Decided to send BCM off to BCMRepair of Stoke on Trent by free postage. They were giving 2 year warranty and to fix all the issues.
I removed BCM along with fuse/,relay assembly to them .
Long story but basically company out of business and they are not answering anything
I had taken photos of both units before dispatch but it is a big issue to find a BCM with the correct serial numbers, units are no longer manufactured.
Thanks for your interest I hope no one gets into the same situation, being scammed of anything is demoralising very frustrating.
I did not part with any money but that is secondary to loosing the heart of my very used motorhome.
I'm starting to get a grip of the situation and the steps required to recover the situation with the great help of the RAC community.
I will keep posting progress
Regards to all who read this Keith.

Sorry to hear that Keith.

I have a 2011 2.3 Fiat Ducato motorhome with loads of BCM issues. I think I’ve managed to purchase a replacement from eBay but now require it to be cloned.

I’ve heard a few horror stories like yours now. I’m searching for a reliable company that I can trust. I’ve been talking to Autotronics in Leicester who said they repair and clone BCM’s but when I enquired they said they don’t have the equipment to test mine so couldn’t repair it. They offered to clone but want me to send a unit with no error codes. I have no way of testing the unit for error codes so I’m not able to use them. Plus I wouldn’t put my BCM in the post, it just doesn’t feel safe. I’ve had too many parcels go missing in the past.

I live in Newcastle and am still searching for a company that I can trust but there doesn’t appear to be anything locally.

I’ll watch your thread with interest and let you know how I get on.

It’s hard to believe that a motorhome with only 25k miles is totally off the road and judging by the horror stories, we are not alone. If manufacturers are going to sell expensive motorhomes, they should stock parts far longer than I believe the 12 years that Fiat do and am sure they won’t be the only one.

Fingers crossed

Gary
