Hiya,
I am wondering if anyone has used the BCM repair service on ebay? My headlights are going on and off all of the time and you can hear the relay clicking from the BCM
Its driving me crazy as I am constantly taking the battery off as its like a disco on my drive!

Has anyone had this before and did anyone manage to repair it without touching the BCM?

I have cleaned up all of the terminals/earths etc and none of that has worked

Thanks :)

Is there a relay of the same type you can swap over, just to test?
Are you saying the lights come on and off when the car is locked?
Pulling the relay simpler than the battery for the time being?
Do the side lights come on or just the headlights?

The bcm contains two relays for the headlights they CAN be repaired but it aint cheep and the bcm is a little so&so to get out! if you try it be VERY careful with the plastic fold over clips that secure the wiring connectors as they snap VERY easily!

Hiya, I have cleaned all of the earth straps and battery terminals and even replaced the battery :( As soon as i connect the battery the fog lights and headlights all begin to flash on and off. My neightbour said it was like a disco on my drive the other day :( I have spoken to someone in Oldham on ebay and he said he can repair the fault but I have to send him my BCM. I cannot think of anything else to try :(
Thanks

Its about £110 to have it fixed, I cant find anyone that will do any thing like that. I have spoken to fiat specialists and they say they will only replace the BCM and the key etc which is very expensive :(

If i leave the car locked or unlocked it still does the same thing, I have tried everything to test it :( Im not sure if i can replace the relays on their own? Im hoping i can, im willing to try anything :) x

If you are going to send it away first you need to get it out! if you are not confident then get someone to do it for you! its under a heavy metal plate held in by sheare bolts that are tricky to get out! and as i said the plastic clips for the wiring connectors are easy to break! you cant change the relays yourself unless you are able to dismantle complex electronic parts! the two relays concerned are deep INSIDE the B.C.M module and its a vey complex component! if you look on you tube im sure theres a video of what has to be done which will ad you in your decision process! if you do get yours sent off be sure to write down all the codes and numbers on the unit so you can be sure you get the right one back from the repairer!
