Battery warning light

Just back at the office and noticed that when I turned the ignition off I got the battery warning light. Weirdly, it only does it with the ignition off and keys out. Just wonderin if thats the usual diag for a battery on the way out? Having no probs atm!

Also, is it possible this is a warning the alternator is on it's way out?

because the keys are out, im assuming its a wet connection somewhere, because warning lights should only come on when keys are in ignition, snything else weird going on? car starting ok etc?

Yep, no problems at all starting. It's the fact the keys were out that bugs me!

Interestingly, it hasnt done it since! :nutter:

Its defo not the alternator if the key isnt in and the engines not running!

I'm really, really hoping not!

Not sure if it's as much of a pig of a job as the timing belt issue, but I'm worried it wouldn't be too far!
