A small problem has arisen. I'm not using the car all that much and as a result the battery has gone rather flat - too flat to start the car.
This poses a minor problem, I don't have emergency codes for my car yet and I'm worried that if I disconnect the battery the car may ask for the emergency code when I reconnect it. Can anyone tell me if this is the case or is it possible to remove and refit without problems?
I need to remove the battery as I have no way of connecting a charger to it in situ (car parked in road a long way from house so I'll have to remove the battery and charge it in the house)

Thanks for any advice
Cheers

Thanks for that.
My car is an automatic so push starting isn't an option.

I'll see if I can get hold of the radio code - good point, I hadn't thought of that!
Cheers

There is no radio code for the Ulysse, it's coded to the VIN no.

You can remove the battery to charge it, when you reconnect it you have to wait for the immobiliser to pair, hold the open/ close buttons for 10 or more seconds and it should fire up no problem

Is that 'hold the open/close buttons for more than 10 secs" together, or just hold either one of them? I have often wondered why it takes some time for the engine to fire after the battery has been off but it always does - eventually.
Thanks

Phew, thanks for that, I was hoping that this wouldn't turn out to be a major headache, I'll be getting the battery on charge today.
Cheers

Mine lives in a garage in Greece most of the year with the battery on a solar charger on the balcony. When I fit it I wait till the car locks on the button and then it fires, I don't press or hold any buttons! Just another way of doing it.
